Year of The Pig
— This is Chinese New Year and that was the Leeds Mecca.”
Sunday 18th January was Chinese New Year. This year, it’s the Year Of The Pig and children born under this sign will be happy and honest. The Pig is also J’s birth year.
We marked the occasion by visiting the Lucky Dragon restaurant in Leeds with my parents and my brother.
Our car was in the garage for routine repairs, so we were provided with a courtesy car: this huge Jeep Cherokee, a 2.4 litre monster with an automatic gearbox.

Hello, you. I'm Mike Padgett. I'm not a Princeton curator, Knoxville mayoral candidate, Kentuckian pastor or Arizona journalist, I just share the same name as those guys. I'm a user experience consultant, expatriate, traveller, writer and pro cycling enthusiast.
I'm originally from Yorkshire, England but nowadays I live in Belgium. My current favourite Belgian beer is Black Albert. I started my website in 2005 and I've been running it ever since.
